Ok I've been lax on the blog once again.
Just so you know where I'm up to- my 3 week holiday ended on the 14th of January and I returned to wwoofing, this time with one of my host families from 2009; the Iwamotos (the farm is Iwami No Waraya in Masuda, Shimane-ken, Western Honshu).
The Iwamotos are Noriaki-san, his wife Kazue-san, their son Tatsuhiko-san, his wife Naoko-san and their son Yuki (two in March).
Had brilliant times in Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima (pics to follow when I can borrow Noriaki-san's laptop) but I'm very relieved to be back in a Japanese household and to be continuing my language studies.
Iwami no waraya is a rice farm and also a producer of rice straw wreaths (and other decorations) for New years.
Currently the work has all been indoors making these ornaments but I'm sure I'll be out in a field slinging dung with a pitchfork sometime in these next 6 weeks. Pics and vids soon (sure you've heard that one before...)
